Training For Racing Begins

As you may have read in 2019 we didn’t train our old birds at due to the high risk of peregrine falcon attacks in our area. However, due to the delay in racing for the COVID-19 pandemic and the likely event that channel racing will resume shortly after racing finally resumes, we felt it necessary to give the birds some road work and this started today with a 20 mile training toss. We will look to give cocks and hens about 4 training tosses each up to a distance of 30 miles, normally in a direction against the wind.
